How to Use the Program
Here you will learn the basics of how to use OpenUTAU, such as:
- Selecting a Voicebank
- Selecting a Phonemizer
- Using the Voicebank
For more detailed information on how to use the program, access the official documentation.
Selecting a Voicebank
After installing a voice, click on "Select Singer" below "Track1" and select the desired synthesizer option (UTAU, DiffSinger, Vogen...), then just select the voice you have installed.

Selecting a Phonemizer
After selecting the voice, a phonemizer, a system that "translates" what is written in the note to phonemes that the model can understand, is selected automatically depending on the type of synthesizer chosen.
To select another phonemizer, click on the name of the current phonemizer, found below the name of the selected voicebank, and choose another compatible phonemizer.
Phonemizers are organized by language and by type of synthesizer.
Each model may come with a different default phonemizer.
Make sure the selected phonemizer is compatible with the chosen synthesizer type and if the selected voicebank supports the language.
